个人简介

After graduating I worked as an NHS Clinical Scientist in Haematology and clincial Biochemistry, primarily involved in research in diabetes and vascular disease. during this time I completed my PhD on a part-time basis. I co-authored a number of papers during this time in relation to platelet function and oxidative stress in diabetes. After I obtained my PhD I was part of the executive team on the British Family Heart Study, responsible for training and quality assurance in point of care testing of blood glucose and cholesterol on the study. In 1994 I moved into an academic post at the University of Wolverhampton, teaching on a range of biomedical science modules and co-ordinating the part-time BSc Biomedical Science. I have been at the University of Lincoln since 1994, helping set up, develop and run the biomedical science awards the university currently offers Department Responsibilities Programme Leader BSc Biomedical Science.
