个人简介

Cas Kramer was born and bred in The Netherlands. He started his university training at the University of Utrecht, with a Dutch “doctorandus” title in Biology (equivalent to a combined BSc/MSc degree), which was followed by a PhD degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Nottingham. He worked at TNO Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research and held Postdoctoral Associate positions at the University of Manchester and the University of Leicester. Since 2006 he is member of academic staff at the Department of Genetics as a Lecturer in Genetics Education for GENIE, Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning in Genetics, and in that role he teaches Genetics, Molecular Biology and Fungal Biology to Biological Sciences students and Medical students. From 1992 to 1994 he held an EC BIOTECH Fellowship from the European Commission. Cas is Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology.
