He commenced his NHS career as a Graduate Finance Trainee moving on to NHS Operational Research before working as a Health Economic Consultant in Saudi Arabia.
He resumed his UK career as a research fellow at the Health Services Management Centre, University of Birmingham, before returning to the NHS as a District Information Manager.
He then moved on to lead a team at the West Midlands Regional Health Authority which was responsible for both performance management and strategic planning for Birmingham and Solihull.
In 1996 he was appointed as Director of Commissioning and executive board member of Wolverhampton Health Authority. He was appointed as Director of Commissioning to Wolverhampton City Primary Care Trust at its inception in April 2002.
Harry was seconded to NHS Midlands and East in 2011 to fulfil the role of Programme Director – Commissioning support.
Since October 2012, Harry works on part time basis as an economic/commissioning advisor at the Keele Centre for Medicines optimisation and a visiting senior lecturer for the MSc in Health and Social Care Commissioning at the University of Wolverhampton.
