个人简介

汪品先，1936年生于上海，海洋地质学家，同济大学海洋与地球科学学院教授。1960年莫斯科大学地质系毕业，1981-1982年获洪堡奖学金在德国基尔大学进行科研，1991年当选中国科学院院士。专长古海洋学和微体古生物学, 主要研究气候演变和南海地质，致力于推进我国深海科技的发展, 开拓了我国古海洋学的研究，提出了气候演变低纬驱动等新观点。1999年在南海主持中国海首次大洋钻探, 开我国深海科学钻探之先河。 2011-2018年主持国家自然科学基金重大研究计划“南海深海过程演变”，为我国海洋科学第一个大规模的基础研究计划, 使南海进入国际深海研究系前列。 2018年深潜南海发现深水珊瑚林; 并积极推动深海海底观测, 促成了我国海底观测大科学工程的设立。同时，还成功地推进我国地球系统科学的发展，提倡强化科学的文化内蕴，并身体力行促进海洋的科普活动。著有“Geology of China Seas”?“地球系统与演变”等大量著作。曾获国家自然科学奖、欧洲地学联盟的米兰克维奇奖，以及伦敦地质学会名誉会员、美国科学促进会会士、第三世界科学院院士等荣誉。曾担任中国海洋研究委员会主席、国际海洋联合会（SCOR）副主席、国际过去全球变化计划（PAGES）学术委员会副主任等，发起“亚洲海洋地质会议”系列, 并主持全球季风等多个国际工作组。是第6、7届全国人大代表，第8、9、10届全国政协委员。主要研究项目 1984-1987年 “长江三角洲典型地区浅层地质的研究” 中国科学院基金重点项目（基金委前身） 1992-1996年 “干旱化的海洋因素和海洋记录” 国家自然科学基金重大项目二级课题 1999-2001年 “东亚古季风的海洋记录” 国家自然科学基金重大项目 2000-2005年 “地球圈层相互作用中的深海过程和深海记录” 国家重点基础研究发展计划课题（973）主要荣誉与奖励 1991.12，同济大学，中国科学院学部委员/院士 2007.4，米兰科维奇奖，欧洲地学联盟EGU 2001.1，国家自然科学奖二等奖（2），中华人民共和国国务院，我国干旱半干旱区十五万年来环境演变的动态过程及发展趋势 1988.1，国家自然科学奖四等奖（1），国家科学技术委员会，我国近海沉积中钙质微体化石的分布及其古环境意义 1986.5，科学技术进步奖一等奖（1），国家教育委员会，我国近海沉积中钙质微体化石的分布及其古环境意义 1993.6，国家教委科技进步奖二等奖（2），国家教育委员会，中国近海现代介形虫分布及其地质应用 1998，何梁何利科技进步奖，香港何梁何利基金 1998.12，中国科学院自然科学奖一等奖（3），中国科学院，我国干旱半干旱区十五万年来环境演变的动态过程及发展趋势 2008.8，海洋地质奖，亚洲海洋地质国际大会 2006.5，全国五一劳动奖章，中华全国总工会 2001.4，上海市劳动模范，上海市人民政府学术组织任职 1991-现在，伦敦地质学会（The Geological Society, London），名誉会员（Honorary Fellow） 1994-1998，国际海洋研究委员会（SCOR），副主席 1994-2002，中国海洋研究委员会，主席 2001-现在，第三世界科学院（TWAS，今称世界科学院），院士 2006-现在，美国科学促进会（AAAS），会士（Fellow）
