The Lyu group focuses on the development of new reagents, catalytic systems and synthetic methodologies for the application in the late-stage functionalization of complicated bioactive molecules and streamline synthesis of functional materials and drug molecules. Initial research directions: 1. Methodologies involving transition metal catalysis and photo-/electro-catalysis 2. Preparation and property study of new organoboron complexes and functional materials 3. Application of organoboron in synthesis and late-stage functionalization of drug molecules
