个人简介
樊胜根教授现任中国农业大学讲席教授，全球食物经济与政策研究院院长。他于2009年至2019年担任总部设于华盛顿的国际食物政策研究所(IFPRI)所长。他对全球、中国、非洲、亚洲和中东的食物安全与营养、农业发展战略、扶贫发展战略、公共投资、技术进步等进行了广泛的研究，其研究成果多次被世界银行、联合国等国际机构及发展中国家政府采用。
他同时兼任联合国增强营养运动领导小组成员、中亚大学理事会学术委员会主席、牛津大学马丁环境学院顾问委员会成员、中国健康促进基金会营养促进专项基金管理委员会副主任。
2014年，樊教授获得了世界粮食计划署颁发的饥饿英雄奖，以表彰他在全球战胜饥饿方面的领导作用。2017年，获 “复旦管理学杰出贡献奖”。 樊教授于2018年被授予国际农业经济学家协会(IAAE)荣誉终身会员，并于2020年成为美国应用经济学协会(AAEA)会士。
樊教授在美国明尼苏达大学获得应用经济学博士学位，在中国南京农业大学获得学士和硕士学位。
