A pharmacist with a PhD in Pharmacy, Dr Parastou Donyai also has a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychological Research Methods as well as a Degree in Psychology. Parastou's overarching theme of research, prescribing and medicines use, is supported by the application of social and psychological research methods. Specifically, Parastou's research examines the psychology of medication usage and discontinuation and decision-making processes. Parastou also has a longstanding research interest in continuing professional development in pharmacy.
