研究领域

时空与引力不是基本的而是涌现(emergent)的概念。在某些情况下(尤其是AdS/CFT对偶)我们能证明时空与引力简直是量子信息学的概念的表示。量子信息学如何能够产生一个有时空与引力的异性描述是我主要的研究题目。 具体的说,我在研究如何用量子信息学来诠释 在AdS/CFT里应用的概念,比如:bit threads、tensor networks、differential entropy等等。最近我主张用一个新的概念modular Berry connection来解释AdS的结构。Modular Berry connection相当于一般的Berry connection,但是产生它的不是一般的哈密顿而是 modular Hamiltonian。这个我们新发明的概念有丰富的应用,我认为它能够诠释AdS里的平行移动、Susskind的复杂性猜想(circuit complexity)等等。
