长期从事深海环境微生物基因组学研究和原位生态监测设备研发,推动深海原位生物研究成为科技部2035规划的13个深海前沿方向之一。其研究开启了深海生态系统原位研究和探测,主持和设计了我国首套原位生物实验室“凤凰”号
