研究领域

Extensive experience dealing with management strategies for fish in freshwater bodies in the UK. Research interests include electric fishing capture techniques, stock assessment for management purposes, cyprinid fish recruitment, dispersal of coarse fish, rehabilitation techniques for freshwater fisheries, impact of water quality problems on fisheries and conflicts between nature conservation and fisheries management. Currently researching on environmental impact assessment particularly associated with hydropower development schemes, and the impacts of flow regulation on fisheries, and conservation of fresh water for birds and other wildlife. Also researching on monitoring and protection of UK conservation fish species and ageing of fish.
