研究领域

人口老龄化的加剧使神经退行性疾病逐渐成为世界性健康难题。此类疾病的共同特征是特定蛋白质在脑部形成异常凝集。影响上述凝集过程的核心机制是蛋白质及其他生物大分子的相变:生理状态下,这些蛋白通过液液相变形成无膜细胞器,从而对细胞内空间进行分隔,精确协调各种生化反应;病理状态下,异常相变造成蛋白质不溶性聚集,进而导致神经元死亡。我们希望系统性地研究生物大分子相变的分子机制及其对神经系统功能的影响,最终达到通过人工干预调控病理状态下的相变,从而治疗神经退行性疾病的目的
