个人简介

Mr. Abe Wong joined UIC as an English language lecturer in 2022. Before joining UIC, he taught Academic English at EIC Academy, Guangzhou for nearly 5 years. In 2016, he started his English for Academic Purposes (EAP) teaching career at UTS College, affiliated with University of Technology Sydney, Australia. After a year, he came to EIC Academy, the Guangzhou partner of UTS College. He is experienced in transnational delivery of EAP programs and is sensitive to the context in which he is teaching, for example in his pedagogical approach and the amount of learners’ first language use in the classroom. Mr. Wong holds a Master of Applied Linguistics and TESOL from University of Technology Sydney (UTS). His research interests include teaching and learning in transnational higher education, student experiences of foreign instructors’ pedagogies and native speakerism.
