个人简介

Born in Beijing, Li Man has indulged herself in the studying of painting since childhood. Upon her graduation from Beijing Film Academy, she held a personal painting exhibition, after which she has devoted herself in the education and promotion of Chinese culture for many years. She is among the first members of the Yuzhen Jinsheng Yayue Orchestra, and also plays a part in the Rushan orchestra. Her musical works of Qin and songs are included in the CD Daya(Refinement). At present, she holds a post at the Whole Person Education Office of Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College, and teaches Qin in experiential arts courses. She is also the instructor of NanhaiQingyin Qin Club. NanhaiQingyin Qin club was founded in September 2014 by Mrs. Man Li and the first group of students from Whole Person Education Qin experiential arts course. Since the founding of the Qin club, she has always been committed to the cultivation of Qin players and the building of a learning club, and every year, she guides nearly 100 aspiring Qin players to learn systematically, rising from simply experiencing the art. Teachers and students of the club immerse themselves in the learning of Qin together, cultivate their minds and are enchanted with the Qin culture and spirit. More and more people are learning Qin nowadays, the spirit of nostalgia is flourishing day by day, which enriches the club culture. Since its setting up in 2014, the club has been praised highly by teachers, students and visitors for its brick tea project for graduates, Qin Graduation Concert, Qin cultural and creative product design and production project, as well as the summer and winter Qin learning project. In 2016, Professor Chunyi Chou was invited to give a lecture on Yayue and songs for Qin in master courses of the Qin club. With the strong support of students, teachers and school leaders, the establishment plan of the Yuzhen Jinsheng Yayue Orchestra was launched. By the time of the opening ceremony of the new campus, the Orchestra had already taken shape and gave a performance that day. Confucius initiated the six arts of Li (Etiquette), Yue (Music), She (Archery), Yu (Equestrianism), Shu (Calligraphy), Shu (Arithmetic), aiming at cultivating people’s mind. Today, UIC’s Whole -Person Education rebuilds the Chinese Great Learning education by integrating the tradition of Confucian rites and music education into the spirit of liberal arts education. With the experience of learning Qin and Yayue, in whole person education program, more and more people's interests in classic are awakened. Qin, as the basis of Yayue, lasts for more than thousands of years in the beautiful music of Yayue. The harmonious sound of Qin tells the cultural inheritance, sensation and feelings of hundreds of generations of Chinese people.
