个人简介

Dr. Min Hye CHO received her Ph.D. in Sociolinguistics with a specific focus on minority language education from the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia, her Master of Education specialising in Gifted education with a specific focus on the verbally gifted from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia, and her B.A. in English Language and Literature from the University of Suwon in Suwon, Republic of Korea. Her research primarily revolves around Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA), Visual Image Analysis (VIA), Foreign Language Education, the Political, Cultural, and Linguistic identity of minorities, and the Multilingual ability of minority groups across the world. Currently, she is working on research applying Text-mining to identify concepts, patterns, topics and keywords in the data. Additionally, she has an extensive experience of teaching English and Korean as a Foreign Language in both Korea and Australia. At present, she enjoys teaching Korean as a Foreign Language at UIC to those who desire to learn another language and explore their curiosity outside of their comfort zone based on her long-time teaching experience.
