个人简介

I have been teaching French Language and Literature in France and in China and I have been a full time lecturer at various tertiary institutions in Asia since 1998. I have been working at UIC since 2008, first as an Assistant Professor in the General Education Office (GEO) and then as a Lecturer and a Senior Lecturer in the Centre of Foreign Languages and Cultures (CFLC) in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (FHSS). During that time, I taught and designed various language courses (French I, II, III, IV and V) and played an active role in the administration of the French section. I have been the convener for the French Subjects since 2012 and an advisor for the UIC French Club since September 2013. Before that, I taught French as a foreign language at The University of Hong Kong from September 1998 until December 2006, mostly full-time, teaching undergraduate students in various programmes (Major, Minor and Certificate in French). During that time, I was also the coordinator of the French Certificate Programme. My experience here at UIC and at the University of Hong Kong covers teaching a wide range of levels, from beginners to advanced, as well as making use of various teaching aids and technology while always keeping abreast of the latest pedagogical advances. At the University of Hong Kong, I was a member of the Outreach and Development Committee in the School of Modern Languages and Cultures, and I was in charge of the Summer Course in Paris ( Institut Catholique de Paris) offered to all students (conception, planning, credit transfers, public relations). Furthermore, I have three years experience as a fully qualified teacher of French in the French educational system: before coming to Asia, I taught French language and literature to secondary school students in France.
