个人简介

Before joining UIC, Dr. Yuk-fun Law taught in various institutions in Hong Kong and Macao, taking up a wide range of courses targeting students of both history and non-history majors. Dr. Law was once the full-time staff of the Department of History of Hong Kong Shue Yan University, whose duties included course development, inter-university exchanges, and supervision of university- and government-funded projects (amount of grants ranged from HKD20,000 to HKD1,780,000). The latter resulted in publication of several teaching packages for general education purpose (China & Globalization and World Religions in Hong Kong). During the Shue Yan service, Dr. Law presented a number of papers in conferences developed from the Ph.D. dissertation on Hong Kong during the 1950s-1960s, some of which were published as book chapters. Dr. Law also contributed a number of entries for several sets of encyclopedias by the ABC-CLIO, Inc. (World War I, World War II, the Cold War and the Arab-Israel Wars) and the Berkshire Publishing Group (China), and articles the Wen Hui Pao (Hong Kong).
