个人简介

Dr. Nicole YANG’s research interests primarily lie in the area of media, ranging from social problems to diplomacy to sociology and political communication. Dr. Nicole has been awarded competitive grants which have culminated in publications found in numerous SSCI- and SCOPUS-indexed journals including Journalism, Chinese Journal of Communication, International Journal of Communication, Asian Journal of Communication, Ethnicities, International Journal of Asia Pacific Studies, Malaysian Journal of Communication and others. She continues to publish widely in international peer reviewed journals. In addition to reviewing manuscripts for high-impact journals , Dr. Nicole has also served as an associate editor of the SEARCH Journal (SCOPUS-indexed) from 2012-2019, published by the School of Media and Communication at Taylor’s University Malaysia. Dr. Nicole’s teaching experience spans more than 20 years. The subjects she has taught include Advanced Communication Theories and Political Communication at master’s degree. Courses that she has taught at the undergraduate level include Mass Communication, Communication Research Methods, Communication Theory, Media Laws, International Media Communications, Online Journalism, etc.
