Prof. 2004 guest professor at Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences 2007 teaching award of RWTH Aachen University, together with G. E. Herberich 2008 co-editor of Acta Cryst., Sect. C 2009 Member of the board of ChemKrist , the Chemical Crystallography Group in the German Chemical Society, GDCh.
