教育经历 1992年至1997年：格里菲斯大学 (Griffith University)，布里斯班 (Brisbane, Queensland, Australia)，博士学位，人文学部 1991年：格里菲斯大学，布里斯班，优等学士学位（文科学位，亚洲国际研究） 1989年至1990年：汉语培训中心，中山大学，广州，获得“现代汉语高级培训证书” 1987年至1990年：格里菲斯大学，布里斯班，文科学士学位，现代亚洲研究，专业为：中国汉语、政治与文化。荣获院级优秀科研奖工作经历 2020 至今：北京师范大学，地理科学学部，人文地理教授 1997年至2017年就职于澳大利亚西澳大学，中国研究教授曾任西澳大学孔子学院的首任院长五年（2007年至2012年），西澳大学孔子学院对应的中国合作方是浙江大学。在2009年被孔子学院总部授予先进个人奖（Outstanding Individual Award）。2010年，还作为外国专家在北京孔子学院总部学习了六个月承担课程研究生课程（第一学期）：人文地理学研究趋（Research Topic Trends in Human and Cultural Geography）本科生课程（第二学期）：全球化与世界经济地理（Globalisation and World Geography）
