个人简介

Brief Introduction Professor Xiangjun Xing received his B.S. degree in Mathematics from Nanjing University in 1993, and his M.S. degree in Physics from Nanjing University, in 1996. In 2003, he got his Ph.D. degree from University of Colorado at Boulder. He was a postdoc research associate at Physics department, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from 2003 to 2005, and an assistant professor at Physics department, Syracuse University from 2005 to 2010. He joined Institute of Natural Sciences and Department of Physics as Distinguished Professor in 2010.

Soft condensed matter physics and statistical physics: Elasticity of complex elastomeric materials, Liquid Crystals and Membranes, Statistical Mechanics of charged systems; Generalized elasticity theory,Topological Defects.
