We are interested in fundamental questions of synthesis, structure, and bonding in organometallic and coordination chemistry. We have ongoing projects in both d-block and f-block chemistry which are focused on understanding the properties of novel compounds at the molecular level. A particular interest is in the development of compounds which can serve as functional materials or as precursors to materials--a molecules-to-materials approach.
