个人简介

Victoria obtained her MPharm and PhD at the University of Nottingham. She previously worked as an early development and formulation scientist in the Pharmaceutical Industry and as a clinical Pharmacist in the NHS. She started as a lecturer in Pharmaceutics and Pharmacy Practice at the University of Hertfordshire in January 2012. Her current research interests include in vitro modeling of inhaled therapeutics, with a particular focus on the role of drug transporters on permeability across the respiratory mucosa. She is also investigating biopharmaceutical aspects of other biological barriers, namely of the skin and gastro-intestinal tract and collaborating with other groups to determine cellular toxicity of nanoparticles and novel chemical entities.

研究领域

In vitro epithelial modelling (lung, intestine, skin) Development and characterisation of novel epithelial in vitro models In vitro-in vivo correlations Drug absorption/permeability mechanisms Drug-transporter interactions ABC and SLC transporter systems
