个人简介
Dr Emmylou Rahtz is researching healing moments in different settings: in biomedicine, in alternative and complementary therapy, in spiritual settings, and in natural environments. The project uses innovative qualitative methods. Prof Paul Dieppe has funded the work through a grant from The Institute for Integrative Health (Baltimore).
After obtaining degrees in English Literature (Durham University, King’s College London), Emmylou worked in social research. As a project manager and research manager, she specialised in large scale longitudinal surveys of learning, skills and higher education. She obtained a BSc in Psychology (Birkbeck) in 2010. Her doctoral research, completed in 2015, was an epidemiological investigation of the psychosocial impact of traumatic injuries. Prof Ania Korszun and Prof Kam Bhui supervised the PhD, in the Centre for Psychiatry at Queen Mary, University of London.
