个人简介

Dr Elzbieta Kuzma is a Research Fellow in Neuroepidemiology at the University of Exeter Medical School. Dr Kuzma has a background in neuropsychology with particular expertise in the assessment of dementia. Her research focuses on identification of potentially modifiable risk factors for Alzheimer’s disease and dementia from a lifespan perspective with particular interest in vascular aspects of dementia and systems medicine. Currently Dr Kuzma is working alongside Dr David Llewellyn on vascular aspects of cognitive impairment and dementia in a range of clinical and population-based studies including SUMMIT, ECHO-PIV and the US Health and Retirement Study (HRS). The aim of this project supported by the Mary Kinross Charitable Trust is to improve our understanding of the roles of macrovascular and microvascular pathologies and vascular interventions in predicting dementia outcomes.
