Antoinette graduated from the University of Exeter with a MPhil in Psychology specialising in Criminal and Social Psychology. She then went to work for the Devon and Cornwall Police Authority as a Policy Officer for two years. She trained in Transactional Analytical Psychotherapy and is a volunteer psychotherapist outside of work. In 2009 she returned to the University to work for the Department of Primary Care in the Medical School on several GP patient survey projects, then on a number of studies on the Improving Patient Experience Programme Grant, before working on the CADENCE trial in 2015. She carried out work on the CADENCE trial until September 2016 and is now studying for a PhD with Prof Valderas in the Health Services and Policy Research Group on the effect of chronobiology on PROMs in patients with chronic health conditions.

Antoinette’s research interests include primary health care provision for young adults aged between 16 and 24; experience and provision of health care for offenders in the community; and how patients’ evaluations of a consultation compare with their GP’s evaluation of the same consultation. She also has a keen interest in mental health, specifically the various methods of therapy available to patients.
