个人简介

Education Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) (thesis under examination) Queensland University of Technology School of Computer-Human Interaction Thesis: Dynamic Difficulty Adjustment in Competitive Multiplayer Video Games Synopsis of Research: The balance between user skill and the challenge provided by a task is necessary for high intrinsic motivation and optimal player experience. My research has focused on modifying Dynamic Difficulty Adjustment (traditionally singleplayer-only) to competitive multiplayer video games in which challenge is provided by opposing players. This has included the creation and testing of a framework for the design and classification of these features, as well as establishing the effect on the player experience and behaviours. This allows for industry-focused outcomes to allow for the better design and analysis of Multiplayer Dynamic Difficulty Adjustment features. Awards: Australian Postgraduate Award (APA) Scholarship Honours in Information Technology (2010) Queensland University of Technology Thesis: Real-Time Adaptive Environments in Multiplayer Video Games Synopsis of Research: My research involved the design and testing of a real-time adaptive environments for competitive multiplayer video games.
