Raff joined the Medical School in 2010 and has worked on and managed a number of clinicial trials. In the department of Primary Care he supported the ESTEEM trial, a complex, multi-site trial of telephone triage in general practice. In 2015 Raff moved to the Psychology Applied to Health (PAtH) group to manage the ReTrain trial, a pilot feasibility trial of a community-based rehabilitation training programme for stroke survivors.
Raff has managed numerous health and applied psychology research projects on topics including an assessment of the general practitioner workforce, an exploration of the academic primary care workforce, and a look at the role of non-conscious processes (or mental biases) in eating and physical activity behaviours.
Raff holds a PhD in Social Psychology. He has expertise in project management and designing and delivering randomised controlld trials.
