个人简介

Having worked as a practitioner across children services (youth offending, fostering and early years), Sharon moved into research to support evidence-based practice. With academic training in Law and Social Studies, her personal research interests to date are; multidisciplinary practices, children’s rights and advocacy. Sharon currently works in child health within The Peninsula Cerebra Research Unit (PenCRU). PenCRU carries out a broad programme of applied research to support evidence-based practice and improve the health and wellbeing of disabled children and their families. Her key responsibility is to respond to queries from carers and professionals re the evidence base for treatments/therapies for children with disabilities. Key considerations are involving users, ensuring information is accessible and dissemination.
