研究领域

Recent developments in evolutionary theory suggest that carers, particularly mothers, might have an under-appreciated role in generating adaptive phenotypes. The effects of carers on offspring phenotypes are expected to be most pervasive when the ecology is spatially and/or temporally variable, but in its current form has predictable outcomes on fitness. I primarily use two different model systems to test this hypothesis.
