个人简介

Peter studied French and Chemistry at Washington University in St. Louis (USA), and obtained a PhD in Biochemistry and Biophysics from Texas A&M University (USA) working in the lab of Arthur E. Johnson and studying the biogenesis of membrane proteins. In 2003 began a post-doctoral fellowship in the lab of Juan Bonifacino at the National Institutes of Health (USA) studying trafficking of membrane proteins. He then moved to the National Cancer Insitute (USA) where he began working on G-protein coupled receptors (GPCRs) in the lab of Giovanna Tosato. In 2010, he obtained a prestigious Ramon y Cajal fellowship from the Spanish government. He moved to Barcelona where he continued his work on GPCRs, focusing on the biological role and mechanisms of their dimerization. In 2013 he was appointed a Lecturer in Cell Biology. His research involves the identification and characterization of G-protein coupled receptor dimers as novel drug targets in a variety of pathologies.
