个人简介

Yuanyuan started to study Materials Science and Engineering in 2009 at Donghua University (Shanghai, China) and obtained her Bachelor degree in 2013. Then she joined the group of Prof. dr. Yanlei Yu at Fudan University (Shanghai, China) and started working on projects of photo-responsive liquid crystal polymers. After finishing the Master study, she joined the joint research lab of Devices Integrated Responsive Materials (DIRM, Guangzhou, China) and the group of Stimuli-responsive Functional Materials. She defended her PhD thesis entitled 'Liquid Crystal Flow Stimulated by Light and Electricity' in 2021 at Eindhoven University of Technology.

Yuanyuan Zhan now is a postdoc researcher at SFD group. She finished her PhD in 2021 from the same group as a guest PhD student. During her PhD study, she worked on liquid crystal-based smart window and liquid crystal polymer coatings that release liquid in collaboration with Devices Integrated Responsive Materials (DIRM, Guangzhou, China).
