个人简介
Dr Ghori graduated with a Pharm.D (Doctor of Pharmacy) degree from B. Z. University (Pakistan) in 2009 and became a registered pharmacist (RPh) with the Punjab Pharmacy Council, Pakistan. He pursued his career as a Community Pharmacist in Pharmagen Health Care Ltd and where he accede to managerial role in short span of time.
Dr Ghori joined University of Huddersfield for PhD in 2010 under the supervision of Prof Barbara Conway. His thesis titled release kinetics, compaction and electrostatic properties of hydrophilic matrices. During his PhD, he presented his findings at many national and international conferences and published his findings in high impact journals. At the same time, 2014, he has successfully established the student chapter of American Association of Pharmaceutical Sciences (AAPS) at University of Huddersfield and served as its founding Chair. He is also involved in peer review of various research journals and is a member of American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS), Controlled Release Society (CRS) and Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Great Britain (APS).
He was awarded his doctorate in January 2015 and subsequently appointed as a Post-doctoral Research Assistant in School of Applied Sciences at the University of Huddersfield. Currently, he is working on the development of novel 3D nano-imaging based surface dissolution technique with Prof Mike Reading.
研究领域
Dr Ghori is extensively involved in array of pharmaceutical research areas including electrostatics, surface adhesion, compaction and drug release kinetics with a special focus on particulate hydrophilic matrix systems. He has been actively working on the following topics:
Development of dissolution techniques for various pharmaceutical dosage forms
Hydration, erosion and drug release kinetics of matrices
Electrostatic, electrical resistivity, cohesion and adhesion properties of insulating materials
Compaction, compression, deformation and consolidation properties of pharmaceutical materials
Development and characterisation of bio-resourced polymers
Oromucosal and nasal drug delivery
