My main research interests are in the synthesis and characterisation of novel coordination complexes. Current projects include: Synthesis of novel coordination complexes incorporating molecules of biological interest Use of chemoenzymatic synthesis to prepare building blocks for coordination complexes Characterisation of metallosupramolecular species in the solution state

My research interests are in the area of analytical chemistry and I also run the School's NMR and mass spectrometry facilities. I have over 50 papers in various areas of analytical chemistry and collaborate with partners both across the UK and internationally. I teach mass spectrometry, NMR and chromatography to second and final year undergraduates and am also the Second Year Tutor for Chemistry students.
