个人简介

Cate joined Durham University in January 2014, having been a senior lecturer at the Institute of Pharmaceutical Science, King’s College London since 2005. Prior to this she was a lecturer and then senior lecturer at the Welsh School of Pharmacy, Cardiff University. Having graduated from the University of Brighton in 1986, she worked in hospital pharmacy, as a pre-registration student and a pharmacist. Following a PhD at King’s College London, she moved to Wales to become Assistant Director at the Welsh Centre for Post Graduate Pharmaceutical Education, developing training for hospital pharmacists. During this time she completed a part time MSc. Econ. in the Methods and Applications of Social Research. At King’s College London Cate was the course leader for the Practice Certificate in Independent Prescribing and subsequently course director of the MSc in Pharmacy Practice. She is external examiner at a number of Schools of Pharmacy. She also supported colleagues at the University of Auckland, New Zealand to develop their pharmacist prescribing course. She is currently the external advisor for this course run jointly by the Universities of Auckland and Otago.
