Experience Jan 2009 – Oct 2011 Centre Manager, Collaborative Centre of Excellence for Understanding and Managing Natural and Environmental Risks (Risk Centre), Cranfield University Management and successful delivery of ￡3M work programme, researchers and PhD students with associated finances, communication, and leverage of additional funding. The Centre provided strategic risk support to government, industry and international partners through an active and responsive research programme which concentrated on the themes of strategic risk appraisal, risk and evidence, organisational maturity and knowledge transfer. Additional research and consultancy projects during this period were for Institute of Environment and Health, Department of Health, Defra, BIS and Health Protection Agency.
