Katy Wareing has been studying and teaching anatomy for many years, beginning her journey with a BSc (Hons) Anatomy from Manchester University in 2008. During her degree Katy also began to pursue interests in anatomy-related research and, after undertaking a collaborative project with the University of Tromsø, the group published a paper on the anatomy of the Svalbard reindeer in 2011. Katy undertook further studies in the fields of musculoskeletal biology and biomechanics, gaining a Ph.D. from the University of Liverpool. During her studies she also began teaching, gaining an Associate Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA) in 2012. Her passion for teaching continued as she gained a position within the University of Liverpool; School of Medicine in 2014. Katy has extensive experience and is an accomplished teacher of anatomy. She joined the University of Central Lancashire in 2015, becoming part of the School of Medicine. She is a member of the International Association for Medical Education (AMEE) and continues to pursue goals in both teaching and research
