I graduated from the University of Bristol in 2005 with a medical degree and an intercalated BSc in experimental psychology. As an Academic FY2 I undertook 4 months research looking at the bacteriology of empyema. Before starting specialist respiratory training in the Severn Deanery, I completed a Diploma in Tropical Medicine & Hygiene from the University of Liverpool and spent some time working for Medicins sans Frontieres in Mozambique. I completed my registrar training and obtained CCT in Respiratory Medicine and General Internal Medicine in August 2015. In August 2016 I was awarded an NIHR Doctoral Research Fellowship to undertake my PhD looking at novel treatments for mesotheliom
