个人简介

In 1995 he was appointed to a Readership in Inorganic Chemistry in the School of Chemistry at the University of Bristol after a period of post-doctoral study in the USA, one year as a temporary lecturer at the University of Manchester and ten years at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. He was promoted to Professor of Inorganic Chemistry in 2006. He is a graduate of Bristol: BSc 1979 and PhD 1982. He served as Director of Undergraduate Studies in the School of Chemistry at Bristol from 2000-2003 and as Head of the Inorganic and Materials Chemistry Section from 2003-2012. In August 2012, he became Head of the School of Chemistry. In 2005 he was appointed as Chief Executive of Bristol ChemLabS Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning.
