个人简介

Eric Pop (epop at stanford dot edu) is a Professor of Electrical Engineering (EE) and Materials Science & Engineering (by courtesy) at Stanford, where he leads the SystemX Heterogeneous Integration focus area. He was previously on the faculty of UIUC (2007-13) and worked at Intel (2005-07). His research interests are at the intersection of electronics, nanomaterials, and energy. He received his PhD in EE from Stanford (2005) and three degrees from MIT (MEng and BS in EE, BS in Physics). His awards include the 2010 PECASE from the Obama White House, the highest honor given by the US government to early-career scientists and engineers. He is also a recipient of Young Investigator Awards from the Navy, Air Force, NSF CAREER and DARPA, and of several best paper/poster and teaching/advising awards. In 2018, he was named one of the world's Highly Cited Researchers by Web of Science. He was General Chair of the IEEE Device Research Conference (DRC), and has served on program committees of the VLSI, MRS, IEDM, and APS conferences. In his spare time he tries to avoid injuries while snowboarding and in a past life he was a DJ at KZSU 90.1, from 2000-04.
