His research interests span colloids, surfactants and applications of neutron scattering. Key research contributions have been made to the area of neutron scattering and colloidal systems. Over 260 articles have been published: recent work has featured in Angewantde Chemie, New Scientist and American Chemical Society and Royal Society of Chemistry press releases. His papers have received >6700 citations (~ 26 per paper) and he has an H-index of 43.
