个人简介

Shangfeng Du received his BEng in Materials Science and Engineering from Tsinghua University in 1999. He obtained his PhD in Chemical Engineering from the Institute of Process Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China in 2005, During this period, he has been working as a part time GM Assistant in Beijing Zhongke Chemical Metallurgy Ltd, China. After that, he moved to Max Planck Institute for Metals Research in Stuttgart, Germany, working as a Guest Scientist on the thermodynamic characterization of Na-Me-O phase equilibria by solid state electrochemical approaches. In 2007, he joined the Centre for Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Research (former Fuel Cells Research Group) in Birmingham, as a Marie Curie Research Fellow sponsored by European Commission under FP6. Collaborating with Prof Kevin Kendall FRS, he started his fuel cell research with a focus in the behaviour of nanoparticles. In 2009, he was awarded a 3-year prestigious research fellowship from the Science City Research Alliance (SCRA) through the HEFCE Strategic Development Fund to provide research under Energy Futures theme. In September 2015, he was appointed as a lecturer in the School of Chemical Engineering, University of Birmingham, UK.
