个人简介

Dr. Saad Shakeel received his Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate Degree from University of the Punjab (PU), South China University of Technology (SCUT) and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), respectively. He is currently working as a scientific researcher in the School of Automation, Guangdong University of Petrochemical Technology (GDUPT), Maoming, China. His research interests include image processing, computer vision, pattern recognition and deep learning. Currently, he is working on challenging branches of unconstrained face recognition (FR), including low-resolution (LR), age-invariant and masked FR. He received Chinese government scholarship and Teaching assistant studentship to pursue his Masters and PhD degrees in 2013 and 2015, respectively. He received an excellent graduate award from SCUTdue to his outstanding academic performance. In 2016, he won the best research poster design competition, organized by Department of Electronic and Information Engineering (EIE), PolyU, HK. He has published several papers in international conferences and Journals. He has also been a reviewer of prestigious journals and conferences, including IEEE Access, Applied sciences (Springer) and VCIP 2020.
