先进陶瓷材料是二十世纪发展起来的新材料之一,具有低密度、耐高温、高强度、高刚度、高硬度、耐烧蚀、耐腐蚀、耐磨损、化学稳定性好及其它一些特殊功能(如透波、高热导或高绝热等),它的发展水平高低是一个国家高技术发展水平和未来核心竞争力高低的重要标志之一,是名副其实的各类工业技术特别是尖端技术中不可缺少的关键基础材料,在航空航天、能源、电子、机械、化工、冶金和生命科学与医药等领域具有广阔应用前景
