Most of my research in collaboration with others has covered disciplines such as entomology, entomotoxicology, archaeoentomology, insect and human molecular biology, botany and palaeobotany, limnology, malacology, malacostracology and hyperspectral imaging. The majority of this research and a number of cases in which I was involved as a forensic expert has resulted in peer-reviewed publications in international journals, book chapters or have been presented at major international forensic conferences. Some of this research has been awarded prizes at forensic conferences. Furthermore, I am a reviewer for Annals of the Entomological Society of America, Journal of Medical Entomology and Forensic Science International. I am a member of the American Academy for Forensic Science (AAFS), the North America Forensic Entomology Association (NAFEA), Australia & New Zealand Forensic Science society (ANZFSS) and I am a Board Member of the European Association for Forensic Entomology (EAFE). At present as demonstrated by my publication record I am involved mostly in forensic entomology and aquatic forensics. In particular, Springer, the International publishing company of academic journals and books specialising in science, technology and medicine has offered me a publishing agreement to become the editor of a book entitled “Forensic Science and Investigation in Aquatic Environments” that will be published in 2017.
