Dr. Cui’s joined Prof. Dr. Zhao’s group in 2021 with a mission to accelerate optimization of enzymes by using machine learning guided directed evolution. Cui’s research interests are in the area of integrating computational studies with protein engineering to understand the protein-interaction-function relationship and develop and facilitate the biocatalysis.
