English lecturer 　　Central South University of Forestry & Technology 　　Bangor College China 　　D.C. Hughes is a native English teacher who has taught at the National University of Defence Technology for the past five years. 　　Mr Hughes was born in Aldershot, the United Kingdom, but has lived most of his life in Wigan, a town in the North of England. 　　He has a social science background with a first degree in Humanities; two higher Masters degrees in Latin American and Ancient World Studies, 　　and a Post Graduate Diploma of Education with a specialisation in English for Speakers of Other Languages. 　　He has focussed on teaching English speaking and listening skills to students with varied language levels and backgrounds, 　　including the International English Language Testing System. Mr Hughes has a profound interest in Chinese history, politics and culture.
