研究领域

Inorganic & Organometallic Chemistry/Organic Chemistry/Chemical Biology/Polymer Chemistry/Energy & Catalysis

In the bioinorganic area, our goal is to gain a fundamental structural, spectroscopic, and mechanistic understanding of copper metalloprotein active sites of biological and environmental importance via the synthesis, characterization, and examination of the reactivity of model complexes. The current goal of our research in the polymerization catalysis area is to develop and understand the mechanisms of processes for the controlled synthesis of polylactide, a biodegradable polymer, related polyesters, and other polymers and copolymers derived from natural resources.
