Medicinal inorganic chemistry, in particular, Pt anticancer drugs Investigating the relationship between the reduction potentials of Pt(IV) complexes and their biological activity Investigating methods for controlling the physical and biological properties of platinum(IV) complexes Development of synchrotron radiation based methods for the in situ determination of oxidation states of platinum in biological environments and for reliably determining platinum distributions in these environments Investigation of cobalt complexes as delivery agents for matrix metalloproteinase inhibitors and other anticancer agents Employing XANES technique to determine oxidation states of the cobalt complexes in solution Investigating and optimizing anticancer drug uptake in solid tumours and tumour models.
