Associate Professor Kayser’s research focuses on protein folding and aggregation, biopharmaceutical formulation development – particularly of therapeutic monoclonal antibodies (mAbs), the development and application of experimental based methods to biopharmaceutical products and processes, virus and vaccine characterization and formulation – in particular for rabies and influenza. Since 2006, he has focused on the development of biopharmaceuticals (mAbs and vaccines), formulation of biologics, and molecular engineering for biotherapeutics. He has worked with several pharmaceutical companies including Sanofi-Pasteur in research or consulting. He has published numerous papers on the subject in reputed journals, supervised HDR students, and serves as a reviewer for many journals. Areas of interest include: protein folding and aggregation vaccine and biopharmaceutical manufacturing stabilization and formulation of biotherapeutics and vaccines molecular level design of biologicals and processes nucleation and crystallization
