个人简介
Sara Pistolesi, lecturer, received her Masters in Chemistry (summa cum laude) with Prof. Riccardo Basosi in 2003, and her Ph.D. in Chemical Sciences under the supervision of Prof. Rebecca Pogni in 2007 both at the University of Siena. After a short post-doctoral period at the University of Siena with Prof. Rebecca Pogni and Prof. Massimo Olivucci, she joined the group of Dr. Nico Tjandra at the US National Institutes of Health as a postdoctoral research associate (2009–2012).
研究领域
General Chemistry
Her research interests were focused on the application of electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) to investigate the structure and dynamics of proteins. She also focused on quantum mechanics (ab initio), molecular mechanics, and molecular dynamics calculations to study the electronic structure of amino acids and to predict the dynamics of proteins.
Since 2013, she is a freelance editor, and serves as a contractor at the Institute on Science for Global Policy (ISGP) and at the Green Science Policy Institute (GSPI). On January 2015, Sara joined the Chemistry Department at ISU where she is the instructor of the General Chemistry laboratories.
